Today I decided to clash together my metallic chevron dress I purchased from Temu with my leopard leggings, cream colored cowboy hat and cream colored open toe heels. I also added my leopard material waist belt from another dress. I must say the look came out beautifully! The idea came to mind and I'm always trying to come up with different looks from my closet! Even though I don't have many clothes, I must say styling myself is pretty much endless if I put my mind to my creativity.

A born and raised Texas girl should wear some Glam Western for once in her life! I feel sexy, glam, and sassy, and I know I would turn heads in this get up! Some people make think I'm crazy mixing up patterns, but I don't care! It's fun to experiment, have fun and just get out your comfort zone. If you want to see another great example. check out Hello I'm 50ish and her post on wearing animal prints- she proves that fabulous style doesn't have an age limit. Hell I even made a dance video lol Yee haw baby, Lol!

Why Pattern Clashing Works

When you mix bold prints like geometric metallic chevron with organic leopard print—you create high-energy contrast. The key to making it look intentionally styled rather than messy comes down to a few simple fashion rules:

Anchor with Neutral Colors: The black base of the dress and the cream shades in the cowboy hat and heels tie the look together effortlessly.

Connect Through Repeated Details: Using a leopard belt over the chevron dress links the top half of the outfit directly to the leopard leggings below, making the pattern clash feel smooth and put-together.

Mix Textures & Shine: Metallic details pick up light and add a party-ready, glamorous twist to animal print.

Xtra Styling Tips for This Outfit

Throw on some big gold jewelry.

I’m talking hoops, a chunky necklace, whatever you got. Gold just wakes the whole outfit up and matches that chevron shine. It pulls everything toward your face and makes the glam pop even more.

If it’s chilly, grab a fitted black blazer.

Not the loose kind — a sharp one that hugs your shape. It won’t hide your outfit, it just frames it and makes the whole look feel a little more “I’m stepping out tonight.”

Swap the heels for cowboy boots if you want full Texas energy.

Cream or tan pointed‑toe boots would hit crazy with this. Still glam, still loud, but with that real Western vibe. Perfect for a concert or anything outdoors.
